Global warming. Panic or reality?

1. What is global warming? Global warming is the current rise in the average temperature of Earth's oceans and atmosphere. The scientific consensus is that global warming is occurring and was initiated by human activities, especially those that increase concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, such as deforestation and burning of fossil fuels.

2. What is the process involved in the greenhouse effect? The greenhouse effect is a process by which thermal radiation from a planetary surface is absorbed by atmospheric greenhouse gases, and is re-radiated in all directions. Since part of this re-radiation is back towards the surface, energy is transferred to the surface and the lower atmosphere. As a result, the temperature there is higher than it would be if direct heating by solar radiation were the only warming mechanism.

3. What signs warn us about global warmming? Evidence for warming of the climate system includes observed increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice, and rising global average sea level.
4. Can you quote another term for global warming?
Climate change and inadvertent climate modification

5. Watch the video and explain this idea: Global warming: panic or reality?
Global warming is real. Because in this 20 years the temperatures are up a lot and because there are a lot of pollution about the factories and the cars. I think we will dead if we not use renewable energy every day.

THE BIG QUESTION:
What can we do to stop global warming? Suggest five ideas.
  1. We can use renewable energy every day
  2. We can use energy saving light bulbs
  3. We can recycle
  4. We can use public transport
  5. We can use glass bottles
